Wilco - Kicking Television - Live in Chicago

Bueno, despues de una larga ausencia por vacaciones, vuelvo con las pilas cargadas para dar un empuje a este blog con más música.
Y como esta de actualidad por su proxima visita a nuestro país, os recomiendo el álbum en directo de Wilco, "Kicking Televisión - Live in Chicago" .




Jeff Tweedy, el principal compositor y cantante de la banda, fue miembro del grupo seminal de los años 1980 y 1990 Uncle Tupelo. Tweedy compartía la tarea de componer y cantar con su compañero de grupo Jay Farrar, que dejó Uncle Tupelo y formó Son Volt. Tweedy formó Wilco con los restantes miembros de Tupelo (el bajista John Stirratt, el batería Ken Coomer y violinista Max Johnston).

El nombre de la banda viene de la abreviatura utilizada en el argot militar "We´ll accomplished", algo así como "Nosotros cumpliremos" en castellano.

Su discografia consta de 7 albumes: "A.M.", "Being There", "Summerteeth", "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot", "A Ghost is Born", "Kicking Television Live in Chicago" y "Sky Blue Sky".
